Required 24 credits to graduate from all programs.
All district and state testing expectations and guidelines apply at Central Academy.
Students may be assigned to the Day Program for either 20 days or 45 days. ARC decisions determine the number of days for placement. Principals/Administration may make a request to the Superintendent/designee that a student attend the Day Program for more than 45 days. Students may be required to remain in the alternative school setting longer than the original placement due to misbehavior, poor attendance, or lack of academic progress. Central Academy Administration will make this determination.
When students finish coursework, they will receive a letter of completion. Their diploma will be given when their class graduates in May.
Graduation ceremonies will be conducted at South Middle School for Central Academy graduates.
A Central Academy student may be allowed to attend other Henderson County school sports events by administrative approval, but may not participate in the sport.
